It's strange and dark but what else is expected from Tim Burton- Some are one page long others are several and the pictures fit well with the tone of the book. Definantly recommended for any Tim Burton fan.

Description

Twenty-three illustrated gothic tales from the dark corridors of the imagination of Tim Burton. Burton - the creative genius behind Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Mars Attacks!, Beetlejuice, Nightmare Before Christmas, Alice in Wonderland among others - gives birth to a cast of gruesomely sympathetic children: misunderstood outcasts who struggle to find love and belonging in their cruel, cruel worlds. His lovingly lurid illustrations evoke both the sweetness and tragedy of these hopeful, yet hapless beings.

Author Biography

Tim Burton is the creative genius behind Batman, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas, among others. He began his career at Disney, where his first project was a six-minute tribute to Vincent Price. His second film, a twenty-seven-minute Frankenweenie, was deemed unsuitable for children and never released in cinemas. He lives in new York and Los Angeles.
