"Glad to have this informative book on poetry writing"

Purchased on Mighty Ape

This is the best book I've come across collecting together most of the major forms of poetry. He teaches the necessary skills to develop techniques needed for a good understanding of how

to write in varied poetic forms. If I have one criticism it is that Mr Fry does go on at too much length at times, and his tone can be a little condescending. This apart I've found the book a really useful one and I'd suggest using it as a resource rather than as a course of instruction to follow.

I had borrowed this book from the library but soon realised it was one I had to own. It's an invaluable ‘guide book’ on writing poetry in all its various forms, and it's also heaps of fun – Stephen Fry is hugely entertaining.
