This collection shows why ‘Fess’ is so revered in his home town, New Orleans. The double CD collection showcases what proves to be the real roots of honky tonk, boogie, and rock'n'roll , with a bit of blues in there for good measure; And it doesn't sound old and scratchy either! Strongly recommended!

A collection from the New Orleans legend. Professor Longhair was a crucial influence on Fats Domino and Allen Toussaint among many others, as his irresistibly infectious piano playing perfectly echoed the spirit of his native New Orleans. This double disc compilation contains 36 tracks including 'Look-a No Hair', 'Baby Let Me Hold Your Hand', 'Tipitina', 'No Buts, No Maybes' and more.
