The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella (Twilight Saga) reviews

Took me one day to read and it was more gritty than the main “Twilight” series. It was interesting to live through the life of a “New Born” and see the results of being on the dark-side. A very enjoyable horror story with a very touchy tragic love tale.

I couldn't wait to get hold of this book and once i did i sooooooooo couldn't wait to read it, its an amazing story and Stephenie Meyer has done a great job in giving us the story from Bree's percep­tive :)

but have flicked through the book a few times in stores and think its a really interesting (though albiet short) story about her life .. we saw a lil of her in the movie new moon (she was one of the ones captured for victorias army by riley and you saw her mostly cowering and hiding for her lives when the other vamps were tearing each other apart) and at the final NM movie fight where she hid rather than being killed ..... till the volturi saw her at the end of new moon ..

with this Novella you get to experience a little more of the vampire world through a newbie, I reckon it adds to the main story line and well worth the reading time it takes to read.

This is a must read for all the Twilight Saga fans, I finished this in a matter of few hours. It's captivating something I didn't really expect from this book. from life ripped away to finding love in a new world just to have it all go black.

Awesome book, couldn't put it down. It is a great follow on book from the twilight series. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the Twilight series as much as I did. The only problem with the book was that I never wanted it to end, and now I've finished reading it the hunt will begin for another book as good as this one. :-)

Well I cant say much about it myself as I bought it for my girlfriend. BUT after she started reading it she couldn't put it down, literally taking it everywhere she went. Looks to be a great addition for the twilight saga collector's well collection, which (I should add) my girlfriend is.

Not to mention I recently went and saw the Eclipse film with her, and after seeing it I was rather intrigued to find out more bout the story this book has to tell. Haha luckily I've got my girl to tell me all about it =P

This book gives an interesting insight into what went on behind the scenes while the vampire army was created.

Maaaaan!!! I am not really a book reader or lover but all the twilight book from the beginning to this last book is really fantastic and I already read this book twice and even finished in one day! just a pity that bree ended her life tragically from the hands of those volturi tsk tsk tsk.I hope the author will make another book like the resurrection of bree tanner hahaha just kidding :-) 100 % THUMBS UP FOR THIS!!!

I really enjoyed this book. If you like the Twilight series you have to read this. It is sad but great to show another side to the story.

I wanted to read more! Actually I wanted know what would've happened if the cullens did retrain Bree. I liked reading about the twilight characters from a different point of view – through another pair of eyes. Excellent addition to the collection!

The Eclipse Novella gives us insight to the way newborns are; the strength, speed and thirst they have and we learn this through the second life of Bree Tanner. A young girl who done a runner from the brutal hand of her father and was given a new lease on life as a blood thirsty Vampire. This gives us more details into the non-vegetarian lifestyle that the Cullens choose not to undertake. Close to the end, we “hear” more of the Volturi actions from the events that Bree has seen and the thoughts that she hopes Edward can hear.

Its a must read for all the TwiHard fans!

I really enjoyed this book, reading the story from a newborn's point of view and her short life with other newborn's, adjusting to her new life, to others like her and love.

Absolutely recommend reading this novella if you have read Eclipse, or about to see the movie shortly

If it was at all possible this is a book which adds yet more substance to the wonderful series that Stephenie Meyer has written. If you loved Twilight, New Moon and more importantly loved Eclipse, here is the guts, and widith that you need before you see the movie or just to add more to your total Twilight experience. Picking up The Second Short Life of Bree Tanner, and beginning to read was like putting on your most comfy slippers, and spending a little bit of time with your friends. Dont delay. do it now.

If you like the Twilight books and/or movies then you will love this little novella. Its a must-read before seeing the Twilight Saga: Eclipse, as it will give you background knowledge on some of the less significant characters in the book that play an important role in the film. Like all of Stephenie Meyer's books it is written beautifully and will keep you captivated to the last word. I loved it and if you are anyway into Twilight you will love it too!!

What a great little book I am a huge Stephenie Meyer and Twilight saga fan and I was not disappointed at all.

This books gives you a whole different outlook onto eclipse, I really enjoyed reading more about the newborns.

I did enjoy the book which explained the background behind Eclipse fight at the end of the original story. The story also had some interesting twists, semi hinted at in Eclipse but told in a fuller manner. For a lively bit of escapism go for it. Timely arrival for the movie as well. I hope Stephanie Meyer now finishes writing Midnight Sun!

Stephenie Meyer's goal of getting you to love Bree Tanner even though fans of Eclipse will already know how it ends, really worked! For a spin-off novella, it worked really well and I couldn't put it down. I couldn't help wishing that Bree had a different ending when it was all over. Romance, action and humour. Fans of the Twilight saga will love it!

This was just as good as the book eclipse. It was an excellent Idea of Meyers to write this story so readers know how Bree fits into the main books.

I read it in a week could have read it in a weekend if I had no interuptions.

This thrilling novella tells the life of a new born vampire created to aid in the destruction of Bella. Stephanie Meyer does her fans proud again by letting us into the life of our favorite vampires and more. Her writing is amazing and the story will keep you on your toes and entertained for hours!
A must read for anyone interested in literature!

Works in perfectly with Eclipse, gives you a real nice background and I would definitely recommend reading before watching the Eclipse Movie. Only bad point is that there is no chapters (not that you need to take a break) Good Book

Wow Stephanie Meyer really knows how to read a gripping book or even Novella!!!

This was definately a book that I could not put down until I had read the whole thing, gripping and suspensful and ties up alot of loose ends.

I definately recommend reading this if you like to know back stories and enjoy the story from ‘other’ peoples point of view.

It has all the classic Stephanie Meyer things we love Romance, Suspense, and Drama.

I will definately be reading it again before Eclipse comes out!

Feeding and Hunting is more important to a newborn vampire (Or any vampire for that matter.) than anything else. But also the need for self preservation is always present when in a growing group of blood thirsty newborns. It must have been hard to know who you could trust and who would rip you limb from limb in the next second. I found reading things from Bree's point of view interesting in the fact that it was like reading about the traditional vampires we are used to reading about. I also found myself feeling sorry for the newborn vampire knowing what was in store for her at the end of the book. And it felt nice to have some compassion for an otherwise unknown character in Eclipse. I highly recommend this little novel to all Twilight fans as I am sure they will feel the same way about Bree Tanner as I did.

Just finished reading this account of Bree's perspective on her vampire coven and the lies. You actually develop some sympathy for her. I would absolutely recommend this if you have read Eclipse and about to see the upcoming film.

I recieved this on Saturday thanks to family! and WOW!! Stephenie Meyer has definitely made me happy with this! It gives so much more insight into Eclipse & the Newborn Army along with the Jane from the Volturi!! it was great! I really hope she writes more to the Twilight Saga now!!!

So my pre-ordered copy my family bought me arrived this morning and this book is seriously Great!!

It explains so much of the back story of what was going on in Seattle while the army was growing and the headlines that the Cullens see about Seattle! It really does give more insight into Eclipse!!

Definitely another Twilight Saga book I will be cherishing as much as my previous 4!!
