Kidrobot and Frank Kozik recently collaborated on a new series of plush characters dubbed Grumpsters, and Vasily is the first in a line of cantankerous plush toys.
As Commander of a Russian nuclear attack sub, Vasily is busy dodging icebergs, whales, and underwater volcanoes, thus leaving no time for pleasures in life like naps, tasty clams or making fun of seals. As expected, this has made him extremely grumpy.
As a commander of a Russian attack sub, Vasily has a tough life that offers little time for small pleasures, so it’s of no wonder that the is somewhat grumpy at best~
Vasily the 40cm / 16-inch plush walrus has embroidered features, including a Russian winter hat adorned with a red star.
About the artist: Frank Kozik
Frank Kozik established himself in the mid-eighties by reviving the lost art of
the concert poster. His success designing posters segued into artwork, namely
album covers for music powerhouses like The Sex Pistols and Nirvana. Today,
Kozik’s main artistic focus is in the design and production of
vinyl toys.
