Tony Cook got his start as James Brown’s drummer (while still a teenager), drumming off & on for Brown & for Etta James for years, all the while recording his own music which sounded nothing like either artist – more like Larry Levan or Peter Brown & Patrick Adams. Now we finally get to hear some genuine soulful ‘80s disco!
