This colander does pretty much anything you could expect of it – we use it to drain pasta when it isn't pretending to be a medieval helmet. However the base of it was making some popping noises – it didn't seem to be seated quite properly, though that may have been courier handling. The spot welds seem solid enough for now, at least, but it does make me wonder about it's longevity.
However it'll still be better and last longer than the plastic alternative that seem to be the only thing to get at other retail stores!
