“Halo: Reach,” developed exclusively for Xbox 360 by acclaimed developer Bungie, is the blockbuster prequel to the best-selling Xbox franchise of all time. It represents the culmination of Bungie’s 10 years of experience crafting groundbreaking “Halo” games that have raised expectations for what can be achieved in a video game.

In “Halo: Reach,” players experience the fateful moments that forged the “Halo” legend. It’s the story of Noble Team, a squad of heroic Spartan soldiers, and their final stand on planet Reach, humanity’s last line of defense between the terrifying Covenant and Earth. This darker story is echoed by grittier visuals amid a backdrop of massive, awe-inspiring environments. Characters, enemies and environments are rendered in amazing detail by an all-new engine designed to deliver epic-scale encounters against the cunning and ruthless Covenant.

Once the campaign is over, the battle continues online with an unparalleled multiplayer experience that expands on the award-winning suite of features that helped define the Xbox LIVE experience.

Features:
  • Meet Noble Team. For the first time, players will fight alongside a squad of iconic Spartan soldiers, each with deadly talents as unique as their individual personalities and customized gear.
  • An intense campaign. Live the events that set the stage for the “Halo” trilogy as the UNSC and Covenant clash at the height of their military power. New weapons and abilities complement the familiar “Halo” arsenal for the largest-scale battles ever witnessed in the “Halo” universe. Fiercely cunning artificial intelligence (AI) adds depth and complexity to each encounter, helping make every play-through a unique and epic experience.
  • Stunning technical advancements. “Halo: Reach” takes a massive leap forward through all-new engine technology designed to take full advantage of next-generation graphics, audio, special effects, AI and animation while continuing to expand on the campaign, cooperative and multiplayer sandbox in a way that only “Halo” can.
  • The definitive multiplayer experience. “Halo: Reach” builds on the success of its predecessors, setting a new standard for competitive gameplay, customization, variety and community integration.1
  • Unparalleled feature suite. “Halo: Reach” expands on the industry-leading suite of features found in “Halo 3,” including four-player cooperative campaign play, split-screen support, saved films, screenshots and exciting new surprises that have yet to be revealed.
Halo Reach strategy guides.

4 stars "Limited Edition"
Halo Reach Limited Edition is not for the "average" gamer, but more for all knowing fans. If you're a die hard Halo fan then maybe consider the Legendary Edition but Bungie estimates that it could cost $200+. I'm an all knowing halo fan on the verge of Halo crazy but I'm sticking to Legend due to the fact that the difference between the two is a few dolls and an online ability.

5 stars "An amazing amount of variety"
Halo: Reach is shaping up to be a fitting finale to Bungie's Halo saga. Although certainly not the last in the franchise, it is for Bungie last and they're certainly planning on going out with a bang.
The Single Player looks to be captivating and action packed, with the amazing amount of variety in gameplay that the Halo series is well known for. The Covenant look threatening on their weapons lethal. All in all, an exciting experience.
Multiplayer is where the game really shines, especially in the customability in your armour and, with the addition of Forge World, the maps you play on. This ensures a ton of replay value, enough to keep you playing for years to come.
For a price less than Modern Warfare 2's release RRP, this is really a game you cannot afford to miss out on.

"WOW well done Bungee!"
Wow what a prequel. Was very impressed at how much they put into this game as far as weapons, Armour and vehicles were concerned. For instance; you now have the option of playing as a female, changing your voice and customizing your Armour pieces to make your spartan fully unique. Not to mention the wide variety of new weapons like the 'DMR' which is a human single shot rifle that packs a punch and the needle rifle, capable of ripping through shields. They have introduced Armour abilities into the game, which you pick up much the same as equipment. Except they give you cool feats such as 'sprint' for a burst of speed, 'Armour lock up' for temporary immunity and my personal fave, 'Jet Pack' which is self explanatory. Multiplayer is great too, I was glad to see that they have brought back Ascension! They have also greatly improved the 'Forge' world, making it so much easier to create your own map. Campaign was pretty good too with the new 'Assassination' trick, useful against elites which are much smarter now and tend to avoid danger, yet another thing making this game so great. In my opinion don't waste any more time, if you're a halo fan then look no further, well done Bungee, 5/5 great job!
