another addition to the need for speed games..have only played for a few hours and its extreamly addictive..the graphics are so much better..cars and tracks are far better but still have their challenges

great graphics, heaps of real world tracks, excellent AI , good to see the competition crashing without any help, quiet often you will complete a lap to see broken cars on the track etc. This is surely one step closer to a true driving simulater.

This game is proberly the most realistic car game you can ever come across. Heaps of makes/models of cars aswell. Worth the price!

The career mode and customization in this game is great. The graphics look good, the tracks are well done, and the attention to detail with the cars is phenomenal.
It's all for nothing though, when the basic handling of the game is down right bad. With input lag of roughly 400ms, meaning the car won't turn until 0.4secs after you move your controller, makes driving an uninspiring and frustrating battle of control.
It's not too bad when driving the slower classes, but it never feels right. Pop in any other racing game, such as Grid, Forza, PGR4, etc… And that thing you took for granted (control) is there and working perfectly. Put Shift 2 back in… Gone.
This game would be a 4 or 5 star if they fix this. Apparently it has been fixed on PC, so we can only hope they'll patch the console version. It boggles the mind how this got through QA though.
DLC looks great, but not worth buying until a patch is released.
PRO TIP: If you buy this game make sure you use the “Elite” handling model as it is actually easier than all but “Novice”.
