Assassin's Creed 4 reviews

I have not been a fan of the Assassins Creed games but with the new pirate theme added it sparked my interest in this one. One of my favorite games of all time is Sid Meier's Pirates going way back to the days of the Amiga 500. Having played it for a week since release my initial impressions of the first few tutorial missions I was a bit disappointed as it just reminded me of the elements I didn't like in the past Assassins Creed games. I'm glad I kept playing though as this game really shines onces you get into the pirating missions. For me its a blend of Assassins Creed and my old favorite pirates game that works really well to create a pirate game that is very enjoyable. While I still find some of the old assassins creed style missions annoying the pirating missions are fantastic and now that I'm getting used to the assassins creed controls I disliked in the past it is becoming a pleasure to play most missions. Then there's the free roam and explore aspect on top which I think is where this game is really great. While it doesn't have all the elements I loved in Sid Meier's Pirates it has the action adventure element I always wished it could have. This is as close to the game I have longed for since my teens and never expected anything close. Most people will be comparing this to the past Assassins Creed games. For me it is a modern version of Sid Meiers Pirates. Well its probably as close as I'm going to get. A week in and I'm still in awe of the graphics of the PS3 version. They have done an outstanding job with the visual presentation and it really captures and immerses you in the theme. Overall I rate it a 9 out of 10. It loses a point as I still wish it was a little less Assassins Creed and a bit more Pirates but admittedly the mix does work really well.

AC 4 is an amazing game, due to the fact that it brings loads of new features in, while also using and building on mechanics of the old games. It has a great storyline, and a great multiplayer. It is simply a great game. The only drawback is that is was made with next gen consoles in mind (PS4 & Xbox 1), so you occasionally run into slowdown because your PS3 just can't handle all the graphics being thrown at you. I don't feel that this is in any way a deal-breaker, because it is still a very good looking and playing game. It is overall an incredibly worthwhile purchase.

Never played assassin's creed before untill now,and it makes me wounder if I should go back and buy the first ones ,awsome game ,plenty to do ,i give it four stars

A thoroughly enjoyable game that will keep you on the edge of your seat

I recommend this to every one this game is so good you defiantly need bit in your collection

The game is basically the same as the last one, except their were less weapons to choose from and the pirate ship part of it lost its novelty and became much of a chore. Did not really enjoy it and the story is not as strong and personally drawing as ac3.

Good fun

Turning into a bit of a family favorite, always wanted to sail the caribbean.

Its a nice game but not as much as Prince of persia the forgotten sands

Have only just begun and we are totally obssessed.

Awesome game

When he wasn't busy being Sean the Saboteur this Christmas, the bro was busy swashbuckling. It's talk like a pirate day for the rest of the year. Again, awesome size & graphics, and things you can do within the game are amazing – scuba diving for treasure, whaling and shark hunting included along with picking pockets. Fantastic – and even better at sale price !!

Lots of things to do, great story mode, and awesome graphics!

This game is an awesome addition to the franchise. So much to do and so many places to explore

An interesting main storyline and a lot of exploration makes this an easy game to get into and play. Naval battles and exploring islands can be done in short bursts when time is limited and the whole pirate theme works really well. One of the more enjoyable games I've played in a while.

The game was packaged nicely and arrived so quickly! I also thought that the games redeem codes were already used since it was a used game but they worked! Awesome service.

So excited about this game I can't wait till I get it. Going to be playing it for hours and hours or maybe days and days but first I must complete Assassins Creed 3!!

I kinda lost interest after a week, mainly because I fiended the game, but it's certainly worth the money

Huge fan of the assassins series an this one really tickled the sweet spot even tho your more like a pirate rather than a assassin its still good gameplay… i mean who doesnt like pirates haha
