A fairly well executed film, the main character here seemed to be Northern Britain itself, much like the Lord of the Rings ‘advertises’ New Zealand. The script carries well and the battle scenes are visceral and hard-hitting.
My only gripe is a filmy filter throughout the work which made me wonder whether Centurion had been filmed in high definition or just crudely uprezzed for Blu-ray.
This movie hits all the high spots, good story, good action, and was over before I knew it ! Highly recommended – if liked Gladiator, your will love Centurion !
