Deus Ex + Deus Ex Invisible War (Double Pack) reviews

Deus Ex is quite simply the greatest RPG ever created. It offered multiple paths to accomplish the same objectives, whether you preferred stealth based gameplay to all out firefights. The upgrade system involved letting you choose the direction your character would develop into, and rewarded exploration. The story was gripping, and I spent many hours trying to complete every single objective and explore every map to the fullest extent. Multiple endings existed, depending on which of the factions you decided to follow.

Invisible War is a sequel, set sometime after, and with a new playable character and biomods. While it never reached the same heights as the original, it was still an excellent game in its own right.

If you enjoy RPGs, then you should own these two games

These games are incredibly well made, despite having many approaches to each level / situation the designers did not fail to properly develop each route for the player. Truly deserving of PCPP magazines “Favourite Game Of All Time” award.

Dues Ex (the original) is quiet possibly one of the best games of all time. Not just a basic straight forward FPS, this game can be quite complicated at points unlike most FPS these days that are just point and shoot. Might not be everyone's style of game, but if you have been playing computer games for over a decade and can handle the older graphics this game is a MUST try! The second game in the series is average but I considered it just a bonus as I mainly bought this pack for the Classic game. Invisible War feels like it is just a newer version of the old game style, however characters and plot does not feel as good.

The original Deus Ex is one of my favourite games ever. The graphics are a little dated, the controls touchy at times, but the gameplay more than makes up for this. The complex story-line is crafted amazingly. I highly recommend downloading the graphics update mod, which changes the lack-lustre textures.

Haven't got far into Invisible War, but it also seems pretty good.

Though the graphics on these games are now very dated, the game play is excellent, I have enjoyed my trip down memory lane playing these again.

These are great with a unique gameplay where you can do prety much anything you want. The only downside is that the first one dosn't have good graphics but as it is a reasonably old game it is to be expected. The both of them are rated realy highly but they never had massive followings.

This game is great and I can can see why it's held in high esteem by the critics but it really hasn't stood the test of time. There are elements in this game where we can see how newer games have been influenced but it seems very buggy and simple. Fun though

A bit clunky but thats to be expected from a game as old as this but it was innovative when it was made so it still has my love,
