This companion book to the Harry Potter series is interesting, detailed and humorous, and it makes Harry's world seem even more realistic.

It explains why muggles are unaware of these creatures, and also explains muggle sightings of beasts such as the Loch Ness monster. For readers of the series it's good because it gives more information about creatures in the books, and you get to learn about many others.

It is a ‘replica’ of Harry's textbook, and he and Ron have written notes and drawn pictures of it that are really amusing and prevent it from becoming boring.

Probably only a book for die-hard fans of the series; I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has only seen the movies.

Well written and very interesting.

While reading the Harry Potter series, I was always disappointed in the lack of detail when it came to all the “magical beasts” featured in the books, and often wished I could buy and read the textbooks that the characters had, but with this book, I have now been able to find out more. A great read for Potter fans and the added extra's from Ron Weasley make it that much more enjoyable.

This is a Brilliant book for Harry Potter fans as it contains heaps of interesting info which was not included in the main series. Also if you enjoy this book I would recommend Quidditch Through The Ages

this book is a great summary to better understand the animals described in J.K. Rowling's much loved book series. the added Harry and Ron scribbles provide a good laugh to go along with the fantastic beast description.

This cute little book gave me the additional Harry Potter boost that I needed. The additional notes by Harrya nd Ron were especially entertaining. While it is interesteing to know a little more about the Harry Potter universe this book did get a little taxing at times.
