A warts and all look into the workings of one of the most successful musical institutions. Keeping a band such as the Eagles together has been a real battle for the leaders Glen Frey and Don Henley. Many original members and collaborators have come and gone mainly due to jealousies about payment, musical direction, leadership and substance abuse. This release gives a great insight into the Los Angeles music scene prior to the Eagles formation in 1971 with input from early members, collaborators and music luminaries setting the scene for what was to become an American Music phenomenon. The band seems very settled with Timothy B Schmit and Joe Walsh making up the quartet and with the release several years ago of ‘Long Road out of Eden’ it seems the band is as good as ever.
Good insight into the History of the Eagles but could had more music from the Hell Freezes Over Album .
Glorious. Like living my teenage years again. The Eagles were so much a part of my life that it was great to see what part of their life was too!
The ups the downs the crazies, the intimate changes. A good story well told. Never a boring bit. California Music Scene from the seventies to 2013. Cool!
