JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle reviews

If you're a fan of unreasonably muscular men performing irrational poses and onomatopoeia, i.e. a fan of JoJo's Bizzare Adventure, then this might be worth looking at on special; it's very faithful to the manga/anime in terms of artstyle and references.

In terms of fighting games, it's not so great; each character has about 8 moves, and unlockables seem a little counter-intuitive.

But this is a JoJo game, you didn't pick it up for complexity, you picked it up for pointing, Stands, and ORAORAORAORA-ing. Which it has. (Knock someone over, press Select while they're down. Trust me.)

Lots of fun, excellent visuals

JoJo's is not your typical fighter and will not be for everyone. The charaters are very unique and the game is full of humour. I'm not a fan of the manga so I can't say how faithful it is the the source material but I get the sense that it is.

Fighting mechanics are solid and pretty easy to pick up if you've had experience with other fighters.

If you enjoy Japanese culture and enjoy other fighters like Guilty gear, persona etc then definitely give this a look in.

Kind of like tekken

As a fan of fighting games I bought this title. It's over the top flair mixed with a cohesive fighting experience made me very interested to watch the source material. The game abridged a lot of the original but is still very engaging with how they cover the source's plot.

The gameplay mechanic's remind me of games like guilty gear but plays so much fast. The cutscene sequences that play before executing a super move are not jarring and feel very natural.

I would recommend this even to fighting game enthusiasts that do not like Anime.

This game forced me to buy a ps3, and I am not dissapointed.

One of the most bizarre fighting games I have ever played that ticks all the right boxes for a great colorful fighting game such as “JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle”
