"Fantastic, beautiful, amazing!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I got this game really cheap from you guys, but I'd been hoping to get it for ages. Can I just say, definitely worth every bit of hype it's been getting! Fluid combat, touching story, awesome characters. Must play!

"Zelda becomes timeless when it shines on such dated hardware."

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is a brilliant game from start to finish. It’s pacing is excellent, with only minor padding issues in the second half of the adventure. Exploration is somewhat linear, but this is unnoticeable in the light of the creative artwork whose colour palette is fully realised in three distinguished regions. The controls are superb, providing new experiences for Zelda veterans with Wii Motion Plus, and turning combat into an intuitive and fresh experience. The music is wonderful, as always, embellishing each setting with a magical tune. The difficulty is a big step up from Twilight Princess, whose bosses were too easy and enemies too sparse. Skyward Sword’s bosses come with many more surprises, and it incorporates an ensemble of enemies who, when in groups, can put Link’s health bar in jeopardy. The puzzles are incredibly innovative yet satisfyingly simple. Within dungeons, puzzles relate to each other around a recurring theme, adding further to the dungeon design. The story isn’t very original, but it offers some interesting twists that harken back to past Zelda games. Fans of the franchise will appreciate these parallels. Link’s companion, on the other hand, is an immediate frustration. She talks far too much, to the point where you can predict when her next robotic monologue is going to trigger. While she is only one of a cast of characters, her eagerness to intrude does dampen the experience. But if this is my biggest complaint, the game mustn't be that bad. In fact, it's amazing. The only thing still missing is the magic meter.

A bit of a slow moving game where you cant skip the narrative bits. Seems to have tutorial sections for ages.

Seriously you can go to trade me and buy a Wii for like 60 bucks now. Buy one and then buy this brilliant game! This is one of my favourite Zelda games!

I am unable to play it because it requires the new Remote which I don't have.
