This is fabulous toy with huge play value. A fantastic game for encouraging a young child to take his/her turn. The pirate figurine can be rotated after each game, so the point at which the sword gets the pirate is reset. Simple to use and solid plastic construction.

We were introduced to this toy by someone at the Ministry of Education to help my son with his Turn-Taking. It's been a fantastic game. Lots of laughs. So much so that we bought one!
Quick and simple game that is easy to play, good for developing fine motor, turn-taking and attention skills. Pop-up pirate is exciting! Older kids may get bord quickly.
My kid loved it
Fantastic
3 year old grand son lives the challenge suspense and surprise. Spends fair amount of time playing. Teaching him colours and developers hand and eye coordination.
Fun game, good price.
I bought this after seeing it being played in a Japanese TV show and brought it as a surprise party game to a family get together. Everyone had so much fun! Kids and adults alike! Just a suggestion: it's much more fun to add element of punishment to whoever makes the pirate jump out! just like they did in the Japanese TV show Gaki no Tsukai! (participants had to win their lunch lol)
We use this game as a speech therapy tool and it works really well. So much so that the others like to join in too! The plastic it's made of is strong and it's worth the money.
Yes another parent who got this one recommended by MOE and yes its awesome even thought they've grown a lot they still play. Yes 3 years of se what more could you ask for
Fun to make the pirate POP up
My 5yo had previously played this game elsewhere, and he really enjoyed it, so we picked up one for him. I can imagine he may tire of it before too long, but we have two younger kids, too. (Our 3yo already has fun with it.)
We have also given 2 as 5yo birthday pressies for pirate themed parties, and they have been enjoyed.
Kids love this!
I bought this for our child care centre, and it has proved to be a lovely little game for a small group of children. Our children are learning to take turns as they play this game. I have found that using the base is a bit of a pain as the barrel slides around on it, so we leave it in the box and just use the barrel on the table and that works just fine. I would recommend this game for pre school age children.
The boy students loves it and it helps with his hand co -ordination so a great tool in both fine motor and listening skills for this student.
When he pops he really pops! Cute kids game that if fun enough for mum and dad to enjoy. Just dont lean too close over the pirate when you stab him in the back.
