"Excellent!" Purchased on Mighty Ape

I am new to this form of strategy game, so was pleasantly suprised to find a Manual that actually was easy to follow. The game itself was easy to come to terms with, and I enjoyed developing an understanding of its concepts and the strategies needed. I am now hooked on this form of game. Cannot recommend it enough!

"A classic addiction to power"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

A must possessed game of strategy for all fan of that genre. You may quickly became addictive to the ages it goes through and attain the super power. However i was disappointed with only one thing in the extension that in the conquer the world complain library does not contain the 4 ultimate research of the information age that is Nuclear shield, Artificial Intelligent, and the other 2 more

"greatest strategy game ever"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Nothing beats Rise of Nations as a strategy game, unlike Age of Empires it traverses history and unlike Civilization you don't have go through countless turns to get anywhere. The gold edition with the thrones and patriots add on is a must have for any fan

"Old-style RTS game"

Absorbing game, harder than it looks. With the expansion, many new campaigns. One of those that makes time fly!

"A classic, must buy"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This is a must buy for all those who love Real Time Strategy. It has a far more engaging combat system that if played at a high difficulty becomes a real key to your sucess. Also with many different game types it lengthens the play time dramatically

"An RTS without many of the problems with the genre"
4 stars"

This probably is my favorite RTS yet, because of its features and lack of classic-RTS-bugs. It also spans all of human history.

Resources don't run out and can be set to infinite without cheats! No buggy garrisoning inside ships; units can become their own ships! Players can only build in their own territories! Build wonders to earn special powers such as free troops!

A downside is the number of resources. There are 5 to collect, some not until a certain age e.g. oil. There are also special resources scattered across the map which earn you resources and bonuses to keep track of.

The 5 campaigns are also not story-based. They are Risk-style take over the world campaigns. Therefore, they are a lot more re-playable, but contain NO story whatsoever.
