Description

This book is a wonderful celebration of extraordinary individuals that will amaze and inspire the next generation of pioneers. From historic figures such as Mary Anning who spent her early years fossil hunting and discovering the remains of dinosaurs to Param Jaggi who at the age of 16 invented a device to convert carbon dioxide from vehicles into oxygen. Other entries include mathematician Gladys West and roboticist Dennis Hong. Practical tips, skills and activities accompany every entry, providing the reader with an exciting springboard and the confidence to apply the knowledge to their own life situations. Each incredible story is narrated in an exciting and engaging style, and combined with visually stunning illustrations by Amy Blackwell. This wonderful celebration of extraordinary individuals will inspire the next generation of pioneers for the future, and their empowering stories show that no matter who you are, how old you are, and what you do, you too can rise to the challenge.
