I have two scales digital and the salter mechanical, they vary by up to 3 kg , I put an 8kg weight on both scales and the digital weighed it at 8 kg the salter was around 6.5 kg,

Old style works well no funny calculations and incorrect reading easy to see no fuss or batteries needed love it

I purchased the salter mechanical personal scale for my elderly friend thinking they were great quality and durable mechanical strength based on my 1.0 year old scales at home. The performance of this product is bad and the quality of workmanship is jut designed to last 12 months let alone 15 years!
