This movie rates up there with other Studio Ghibli Films. It is of course beautifully animated and well scripted.

I dare you not to fall in love with the main character – Haru a Japanese schoolgirl for whom nothing seems to be going right! I am sure many will be able to relate to the feelings she has about her mundane, unexciting life. How things change for her!!

Quite short compared with other Studio Ghibli films, yet the length of the film does not in anyway take away from the quality of it.

Great for the everyone – easy for the younger ones to follow

The cat returns, is such a cute wee anime film, a definately a must watch on those warm summer days or cold winter evenings. I dare you not to fall in love with all the hero characters (or should i say kitty cats) hehe. Good Movie. I reccomend it.

This is alice and wonderland but with cats instead of cards! Love this movie over and over again!

The fiim uses the 2 cats in Whisper of the Heart as central characters. The usual young girl is the main character. The story has drama and a happy outcome. I especially liked the extras which included interesting information about Studio Ghlibi and how the film was made. One of the cats in the film is based on a real cat that frequents the studio.

In keeping with Studio Ghibli's repu­tation, “The Cat Returns” is a quirky, delightful adventure that keeps adults and children alike rivited to the screen. We screened it at my daughter's 10th birthday party, and each child could identify with one of the characters on screen. The story is like a lighthearted daydream and a wonderful diversion from daily life.
