I ignored this game for almost a year because I'm a die-hard FPS gamer (BF3/CoD). I assumed a “point and click” adventure would be a borefest for me, but after hearing SO many rave reviews and GOTY nominations in podcasts and forums I thought I'd give it a go.. And I was not disappointed.
This is one of the best games I've ever played and it all comes down to the storyline, character development, their relationships and the excruciatingly difficult decisions you're forced to make to determine how the story plays out. So regardless of what type of games you're into, if you're an empathetic human being I can guarantee you'll love this. The story alone is incredibly entertaining, but allowing you to decide how the story plays out makes this even more immersive and emotionally engaging. It will put you in some incredibly dark situations you'll never experience in real life and force you to make decisions you would otherwise never have to think about and because of that you will learn more about yourself than any other game could ever teach you. When you're under immense pressure and put on the spot, your true colours are revealed.
Without giving away any spoilers, I will say the ending alone will haunt you for months, it's just that good. Nothing less than 5 stars and well deserved.
