"Refining the good"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

The Xbox 360 controller was good, this is better. You can set up the rumble triggers to show the direction of attack in RPG's. Now that is cool.

"Replying to Floyd's 1 Star Review"

I always hated this argument. MS is “bad” because they give you a choice in how you power your controller.

AAs work & are cheap. Rechargeable AAs are likewise not too expensive & a good investment in general. There are 1st & 3rd party battery packs that also allow you to recharge your controller.

But what's the difference between these options & the built-in approach that the PS controllers take: what happens when your battery doesn't hold a charge anymore- This happens & will always happen with battery technologies. In the case of a built-in, you are forced to purchase an entirely new controller (or stay wired in at all times).

Bottom line: You have a choice with the Xbox controllers. You have no choice with Playstation. But again, something that is actually GOOD for the consumer is ignored because of perceived “right now” convenience.

"Truly pathetic"
1 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

In 2006 the Sixaxis controller was released with an inbuilt rechargeable battery that lasted hours on end. However in 2014 Microsoft releases a controller that takes AA's. That is pathetic. Your customer is forced to buy batteries to keep playing your console. That disgusts me.

You know a company does not care about you when your toothbrush has a better battery (inbuilt) than your console's controller.

1 star is not low enough.

"Perfect for the job"

Did exactly as it needed to without any issues, still going strong !

"Could be better"

The controllers for Xbox one are fine to use, but fragile, be aware that rapid sports games like fifa and nhl are likely to grind out a controller in a couple of months. The problem is if you want to play xbox one you have virtually no choice, if you want to play you have to buy and that isn't much fun. I managed to kill a controller in 35 days, just by playing FIFA obsessively. You've been warned, now go buy one!

"It allows me to play Halo CO-OP"

Lets be honest, these controllers are pricey and on top of that we STILL have to buy either batteries or a battery pack to use this! (to be fair at least this came with batteries…). Does have me asking what year is it that we still require a set of double A's to get these things running- On the plus side with the double A's they have a pretty damn good running life before you need to replace.

"Amazing for PC games"
5 stars"

I got one specifically for my pc, its directly compatible with windows and best of all i just have to plug in a universal micro usb and it syncs automatically…

I would recommend this to anyone wanting a pc controller, as well as the elite x-one controller if you're willing to pay more that is

"Great Controller"

"Minor improvements of a already great controller"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

The 2015 Xbox one controller is a awesome controller, it may not be a massive improvement but there isn't much to improve since its already a great controller.

Built in 3.5mm jack: you are able to listen to in-game audio and chat.

Improved bumpers: massive improvement being able to use it in any position.

Lighter: the new controller is slightly lighter.

Disadvantage: No IR blaster for auto pairing and split screen user tracking.

"Cheapest price"

Cheapest price found online for an Xbox one wireless controller

"Inefficient and poorly designed"

The left stick is wearing a goove as it rubs on the chassis. Chews through batteries like you wouldnt believe. Get a plug and play kit…

"Excellent"

I like both the design and the color. The feel is another advantage of having this controller.
