NRL

The National Rugby League (NRL) is the top-level professional rugby league competition in Australia and New Zealand. It consists of sixteen teams, fifteen from Australia and one from New Zealand, who compete for the coveted NRL Premiership. The season runs from March to October, culminating in the Grand Final, which is considered the biggest event on the Australian sporting calendar. The NRL is known for its physicality, speed, and skill, and has a large following both domestically and internationally. It is governed by the Australian Rugby League Commission and has been in operation since 1998, succeeding the Australian Rugby League (ARL) and Super League.
