Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (PPZ) is a mashup parody novel by Seth Grahame-Smith based on Jane Austen 's classic story Pride and Prejudice and modern horror element Zombies.
The story opens when a zombie outbreak has fallen upon the peaceful countryside in 19th century England. The heroine Elizabeth Bennett is the master of martial arts and weaponry. Mr Darcy is the fierce zombie killer who fights together with Elizabeth by swallowing their pride and join forces on the blood-soaking battlefield.
