Great
I love this movie. Purchased as a Christmas gift for my Mum who grew up on the South Island and she loves it for the classic (quirky) Kiwi humour, and the authentic representation of what it's really like in rural New Zealand. Absolutely love it.
Good story, lots of laughs
This movie is funny. There is a little sadness in the story but the humorous performances override this in many ways. The setting is in a beautiful "wilderness" area which adds to the excellence of the film. Also it is good for a "wild" child to be not only brave, independent and unco-operative but also affectionate and sensitive. All actors are appealing in their performances. I really enjoyed the film.
Love this movie.
