Following on from the themes thay made Saints Row 3 a fun and addictive game, the fourth release goes above and beyond to push the boundaries of what is acceptable for a game. With the return of powers, the use of cars and weapons that feature so highly in grandtheft auto, are left obsolete as you fly your way around the map, using telekinesis to throw tanks around.

Unpredictable and diverse, this game is as entertaining as they come. A must-play.

Volition has publicly stated that Saints Row IV essentially brings the series – as we know and love it – to a close; wrapping up character exposition into a supercharged, thermonuclear bundle. Since your player character is now “Commander-in-Chief” of the United States, where to from here-

That's for the next round of incumbents. All that matters for today's players is that the core tenets of this storied franchise remain firmly tongue-in-cheek. By far, the biggest drawcard for Saints Row is its suite of customization options. I've taken my sassy superstar from the depths of Stilwater to the drug-addled highs of a Loyalty Mission that has even seen its removal from the Australian version of Saints Row IV.

How puritanical that today's players – the majority being “adults” who are free to choose their own intellectual stimulation – are denied the very freedom of expression that exists in EVERY Saints Row game. For this reason, I am ever so grateful that Mighty Ape has cut a swathe through the moral thickets and brought the UNCUT version of Saints Row IV safely to my door.

Hail to the Chief, baby! Despite reaching the experiential plateau of Level 50 after some 32 adrenalin-fueled hours, it's nice to know that my character's term of office is far from over… As is the mainstay of every Saints Row game, there's a surfeit of activities and collectables still ticking over. Forget those run-of-the-mill, grind-o-matic, conventional shooters. Saints Row IV brings its own big guns, big dreams and big hilarity to life. It's the very essence of gaming distilled.

At first i was abit confused with ghe whole this IS SR3 but as i got into an hour of play then i quickly realised this is better than SR3 and i hope to see what they have planned for 5 P.s is it just me or have the numbering changed it was Saints Row then Saints row 2 then Saints row the third then Saints row IV this really annoys me WHY
