"Back on track..."
4 stars"

This season gets 24 back on track after the horrendous sixth season. Season 7 re-introduces realism (as much as 24 can!) and 3-dimensional characters into Jack Bauer's crazy world.

The introduction of new characters like Renee and President Taylor (The first Female President) bring fresh character development and contrast to our action hero Jack. This season also successfully brings back some fan favorite characters like Tony, Chloe, Bill, Aaron and Kim in surprising and exciting ways.

You can't forget 24's instant classic villains (one being played by Jon Voight) who keep the suspense and drama at breaking point.

This season isn't 100% perfect though as it has 24's usual cliches (e.g. The Government Mole, Jack never uses the toilet, backup is always 10minutes away… etc) but overall it is a lot of fun and features a big character changing twist towards the end of the season.

"By far the best season yet"
5 stars"

After a shaky 6th Season and a writers strike, 24 had to do a hell of a lot in order to become great again.

Set in Washington D.C. some 4 years after the end of Season 6, Jack Bauer starts his day in a courtroom, defending himself against charges of gross misconduct during his time at the (now disbanded) CTU Los Angeles.

10 minutes into his testimony, he is pulled out of court by FBI agent Renee Walker (Annie Wersching) who believes Jack can help with a rapidly escalating national emergency.

What follows are some of the finest hours of 24 to date. The twists and turns are back, and the new cast members shine (Annie Wersching and Cherry Jones in particular).

While the extras are nothing to get too excited about, this is one season that is extremely re-watchable, if only for the “Oh my god, I can't believe they just did that..” moments (and there are a lot of those)
