The storyline…..
This book was not particularly about one person or even just a romance. It had many levels. There was a little romance, but it was not all gushy and lovey. It actually was just right. The book was more about a girl trying to find out who she is over the course of a summer instead of trying to be what other people thinks she is. Also about a boy trying to open himself up again after a devastating accident.
The Characters…..
I loved all of them!! The cast of characters were very well written and I had fun reading about them. I cannot really say that I have a one favourite character. They were all very complex with their own personalities, from Auden’s Mom, whom is very literary and a professor. Down to Adam, whom is in love with Maggie but has not let her know and his biggest thrill is riding bikes.
In Conclusion….
I would highly recommend this book to a friend looking for a good thought-provoking read. I am still thinking about all that Auden went through to change. This isn’t my first Sarah Dessen book and it definitely will not be the last, once you have read one Sarah Dessen book you will fall in love with her work :).
