A delightful tale to make us all smile and even shed a tear. I watched this with my two grandchildren aged 14 and 10 and we all really enjoyed it.

Anne with an E. From the beginning the viewer is drawn to a girl who has lost her parents and is set to a large family to organize the children. Despised by the mother Anne finds herself sent back to an orphanage and replaced with a brother and sister who were wanting a boy to work on the farm. However, Anne turns up and in time they find her amazing. She becomes a top student and throughout the series Anne demonstrates that with love one can achieve greatness. She marries her childhood sweetheart who becomes a Doctor and goes off to war and is reported missing. The final episode is one with much suspense and there is much shedding of tears by the viewer. I feel that this series must be seen as it not only embraces it touches the heart of a little girl into womanhood
I enjoy watching this movie over and over again.
Megan Follows, Tony Award-winner Colleen Dewhurst and Academy Award-nominee Richard Farnsworth give unparalleled performances in this critically-acclaimed motion picture, based on the international best-selling novel. Filmed amidst the spectacular scenery of Prince Edward Island, Canada, this Emmy Award-winning production follows the provocative life drama of orphan Anne Shirley (Megan Follows), from her struggles as an adolescent to her triumphs as a young woman. A delicate epic full of wit, style and emotional power.
