Originally written as a novella in the late 1980’s, the Heroic Legend of Arslan has been adapted to manga and anime numerous times, with the most prominent being the 2013 release of a manga series by famed illustrator Hiromu Arakawa (the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist).

Set in a fictional continent, the story follows the 14 year-old prince of Pars as he escapes the invasion of the royal capital, and then later recaptures it accompanied by a band of warriors to ascend to the throne. The first part of the story covers the retaking of the royal capital and the second portion consists of Arslan ruling over Pars as a wise king. He and his followers get caught up in the conspiracy to revive the evil Serpent Jing.

• The free mode will feature a series of collectables hidden in the scenarios. These are 20–25 recipes which can be used to give a boost to the army prior to battles (list pending)
• Level up includes: character weapons, new movements, cards with abilities (3 equipment slots). There are 200 cards split between 4 types of skill boosts (attack, defence, stamina etc). 20 of these are rare and can only be obtained in certain conditions. Level cap is 50
• Four difficulty levels: easy, normal, hard and chaos
