Beady Eye (Liam Gallagher, Andy Bell and Gem Archer from Oasis) return with their sophomore album ‘BE’ – it’s bold, exciting and the band at their best. With an inspiring producer, Dave Sitek (TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs) running the session, they have crafted an album with some surprisingly tender songs and futuristic sonics that will delight their fans.
‘BE’ represents a true evolution in the band’s sound and writing techniques. Recorded in London, the band experimented with Protools, cassette tapes, samplers, recorded conversation, iPhone apps and unusual instrumentation to create this ambitious and exhilarating set of tracks showcasing a stunning depth of song writing.
Here’s a statement from Liam Gallagher about the new Beady Eye record – in which he discusses working with producer Dave Sitek:
“Working with Sitek just opened something up in us. He’s without a doubt the best producer I’ve ever worked with, a real outlaw – he doesn’t give a fuck, no rules. We had a new found focus when we were writing it – we really got our heads down and got our shit together – clear heads, none of that crap from the ’90s. It feels like a really special record for us.”
