"A fan of BSG- This you must see!" Purchased on Mighty Ape

Some American shows are too formulaic for my liking but the newly imagined take on Battlestar Galactica had me hooked from the first mini series.

Blood and Chrome is no exception. It completely keeps up with the rest. If you enjoy good sci-fi and have followed the saga this is worth viewing.

Thoroughly enjoyed it and it filled in the period between Caprica and Battlestar Galactica nicely.

Description

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome is a prequel to the reimagined Battlestar Galactica series. Beginning as a web-series, it became a pilot for a possible series chronicling the early adventures of a young William Adama. As the series was not picked up it remains a stand alone show.

An all-new chapter in the Battlestar Galactica saga, Blood & Chrome takes place in the midst of the first Cylon war.

As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a young, talented fighter pilot, William Adama (Luke Pasqualino, The Borgias), finds himself assigned to one of the most powerful battlestars in the Colonial fleet: The Galactica. Though Adama quickly finds himself at odds with his co-pilot, the battle-weary officer Coker (Ben Cotton, Alcatraz), the two men must set their differences aside when a routine escort mission with an enigmatic passenger (Lili Bordan, Silent Witness) turns dangerous and becomes a pivotal one for the desperate fleet.
