Got this for my son when he was 6 and he loved it. He needed some help following the instructions, but was able to manipulate joining the pieces, and was so excited when he made something happen. Especially the helicopter blade. He is 8 now and he still enjoys playing with it. This one was a present for his 8 year old friend who played with his one and really wanted one too. So good for this age range.
My grandson's love it . So easy to use but sill makes them think.
This is great. I love that my son with special needs that has trouble with fine motor skills is also able to use these and enjoy the fun of learning how electricity works. Would high recommend.
Brainbox manufacture a great range of electronic kits with a cool easy to use press-stud system for making the contacts. Kind of like the kits around when I was a kid but much easier to use and no pesky wire to lose or stab yourself with. Included manual with 180 other experiments.
As with all Brainbox kits there is no soldering or trimming required – the kit uses simple brightly coloured components with press-stud connectors.
