Inspired by the comics, though taking a different route, Civil War is an attention-grabbing, action filled movie. Most pleasing was that the plot felt more grown up than some of Marvel's other works. They somehow manged to weave through subplots of politics, loyalty, betrayal and guilt without making the movie feel too heavy. There's also a good helping of humour, which helps the feel of the whole thing greatly. The only mild downside is that when you require so many characters, not all can have much of a meaningful role. That's not so bad though, as almost all of them have their story advanced in other films. It's good they decided to leave characters like Thor and the Hulk out of this one. Well worth adding to your collection.
