Purchased on Mighty Ape

I've loved Clannad for decades and this album is a treat for anyone who has a yearning for the lyrical Irish group's tunes. This CD has all the great tracks from the Robin of Sherwood soundtrack which I love including “Together We” which was my mental background music when thinking about boys when I was sweet sixteen.

This CD would make a great Christmas present for anyone who wants to lie back, sip some wine in the sun and just relax to some seriously beautiful music.

Description

With their roots firmly cemented in Irish folk, Clannad became one of Ireland's most popular exports when they bridged the gap between contemporary pop and folk at the beginning of the eighties. This eighteen track compilation brings together all of the band's finest moments including such classicsas 'Theme From Harry's Game' and 'Robin (The Hooded Man)'. Also included are duets with Bono, Bruce Hornsby and Maire Brennan's solo outing with trance outfit Chicane.
