Amazing storyline, very convincing set etc. Probably one of Clive Owen's best performances. Genuinely one of my favourite movies. The Blu-Ray quality is of course exceptional. The highlights of this movie are: the original and engrossing plot, Clive Owen's performance, and Michael Caine's performance. Must watch!

Great movie, highly recommended for dystopia sci-fi fans. The long takes are a marvel in itself and well worthy of repeat viewing.

There is a lot to like about this film. The documentary style camera work, the grim distopian art direction, some great performances and a decent story line.

Critic Reviews:

  • " Best Movie of the year. Cuaron just went to a whole new level with me. The class of filmmaking – the extended shots! those shots! my god! – here is astonishing. " – Jason Adams
  • " Alfonso Cuarón delivers a masterpiece that explores humanity and love in a world that's scarce of hope. " – Fico Cangiano
  • " As always, Michael Caine manages to steal every scene he's in with effortless, offbeat comedic charm. " – Mike Massie
