Sharkness is the muchly-electronica solo work of Robin Hinkley of Good Laika and Bleakhouse, produced by Age Pryor and engineered by Dr Lee Prebble.
The record is a fun and interesting collection of quirky pop songs interpolated with introspective ballards, which serve to add contrast and reprise.
Created while other members of his band Good Laika were busy procreating, the album’s gestation was not without its dramas, involving a day of running away from the police in Mumbai during an attempt at filming a music video, as well as a macabre day spent amongst stuffed animals in Featherston.
