I totally enjoyed reading Christine Feehan novels, but this one I could have totally missed. It had all the hallmarks from the very beginning of grabbing your attention straight away. But the female character in this particular book irritated me to no end, until I just wanted to ditch the book. I didn't of course because I wanted to see what happened at the end. Too much repetative writing for the main female character. The story didn't develope as well as I'd hoped. Too bad.
Aidan, the dark carpathian hero of this book. Yes, he was the hero of the book and the author followed the tried and true process of the series, placing a female in his line of sight. He didn't recognise her at first as a lifemate and abused her straight away. When he did realise she was his lifemate, the whole story suddenly took a turn for the worsed. I've read most of the books in this series and I can honestly say I will never read this one again. The female lead annoyed the hell out of me, I wanted to give up reading the book so many times because of her character. Without giving anything else away. If your into reading the series, read this one at your risk. I didn't enjoy it!
