A six part story which deals with the evolution of a species due to climate change. The bad guys try to change the atmosphere for what they think is good for them, and to make money. However, the change is a natural process of the planet, and the doctor stops the bad guys, saves the planet's atmosphere and allows the species to evolve. Overall, a serious thought provoking story about how we are treating our planet now, worth watching!

The Doctor gets to be morally outraged by the uncaring and ethically bankrupt villains and makes caustic remarks that are the usual for the third Doctor.
