"Well made, well acted, thought provoking movie. (Should be R18+)"
4 stars"

This is a very well directed movie. The actors (all 3 of them, with a few extras) do a great job and are convincing as their characters, and the story is a good one, with an ending that makes you sick in the stomach. It's a good movie…but not an enjoyable one in my books. The film is rated R13, yet the language is atrocious, (which I know doesn't bother most people, but took me right out the experience) and there is FULL ON Game of Thrones level NUDITY. Now these might seem like trivial things to those who don't mind content like this, but for a film rated R13 it's a bit shocking. Just my silly opinion, but this aside I doubt anyone would watch this movie more than once…which kind of makes buying the Blu-Ray pointless.

This movie is a killer premise and on the surface seems simple enough but it's a puzzle box that will keep you guessing all the way until the end. There's nothing mechanical about this storytelling. Highly recommended.

“EX MACHINA IS MEMORABLE AND DOWNRIGHT CHALLENGING, FULL OF SHARP PERFORMANCES THAT BLUR THE LINES BETWEEN HUMANITY AND PROGRAMMING.” – Screenrant

“There are many reasons to be impressed with Ex Machina, the recently released, exceptionally well-done sci-fi thriller directed by Alex Garland, starring Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson and Alicia Vikander. Most notably, however, is its ability to be both ordinary and unique at the same time.” – Huffington Post
