“Fallen” starts off very strong. Though it does stagnate a bit in the middle. Its not completely eventful, but it gives it a chance to focus on the characters. The revelations behind Luce, Daniel and Cam and how they all interweave together is what drives this book. Luce may come across as delusional, as she is pervaded by stalking shadows throughout the book in places. There are hints throughout the book Daniel is something more than human. You'd also think Cam was a normal guy until later in the book. Lauren Kate manages to make her take on starcrossed love quite haunting. “Fallen” explores the concept of a love so strong that its forbidden. So strong that it could make even an angel fall. So strong that you can't be without the one you love, but you cannot be with her, as there is a possiblity it would kill not only her. But everything.
