Description

In 2004, Jessica Palmer died suddenly of septicaemia, just six days after giving birth to her second child. Her illness could easily have been detected; her death was preventable, but nothing was done until it was too late. Jessica's husband, Ben, was left devastated, struggling to care for their two young children whilst searching for answers. In 2006 he successfully sued the NHS for negligence. This is Ben's heartbreaking story of dealing with his grief while raising his and Jessica's children. From the initial shock of Jessica's sudden death through the despair, guilt and anger of grief, Ben shares the journey that finally enabled him to find hope in the future, thanks to the love and support of his friends and family. It is a devastating story of living with a cruel and needless loss.
