God of War III (Platinum) reviews

Just got this game and im about 3–4 hours into it. i can say the game is similar to GoW 1 and 2 (combat and problem solving-wise)

there are a couple more twists and small differences which make the game more interesting!

You start off helping ‘Gaia’ a titan and fall into the underworld (yet again!) and you'll need to kill some gods one by one in order to complete your mission (killing Zeus and bringing down Olympus) and you can take their powers!

without giving too much away the storyline is awesome and its really brutal (in a good way!)

Great 3rd person action/adventure hack and slash.

You play the role of Kratos with a serious bone to pick with the Greek gods. The action fast & fluid is is broken up with puzzle sequences. Areas usually finish with a spectacular boss fight. You earn experience from killing enemies which you can use to upgrade weapons (usually obtained by defeating bosses) This is a game that really deserves its R18 rating. Combat is truly savage. Be prepared to tear off heads, strangle beasts with their entrails & poke gods eyes out!

The game is so good I found myself wishing I'd taken the time to play the 2 re-mastered first parts before I started this.

Don't think I've mentioned Absolutely gorgeous graphics (see sceenshots) that don't cause any noticeable slow down at all. Playing this convinced me the PS3 has a good 2–3 years of life left in it before developers will hit a hardware wall.

All in all great game that shows off what the PS3 can do.

You would have never played any game of any type that has action of this level. From the hydras in the first boss fight, GOW has continued to produce quality action sequences that believe it or not has gotten even better in its 3rd and final instalment. Kratos is back to his old tricks but this time with more gore, guts and girls then the first two. This one is a must buy and is guaranteed to satisfy any red blooded male(and some females).

I have now played all 3 GOW games and each one just seems to get better. I enjoyed this so much that i found it really hard to turn it off to do my jobs! I highly reccomend buying the whole set they are great value for money, it just doesnt take a couple of hours to clock plus if your like me a mother of 3 children even better as the children also enjoyed it and played the games straight after me. The graphics were fantastic. Normaly I like to control the camera myself which you cant do in with this game but they had the best angles for the majority of the game that it didnt worry me. Good Luck and i hope you enjoy this as much as me and my family did!

God of war 3 is a fantastic game, through and through. It sticks with what works, staying true to its roots. The story line continues smoothly, following on immediately after the events of it's predecessor. Returning players will find familiar controls and game play. Players new to the franchise will be able to pick it up too. Weapons and abilities are a-plentiful, violence and gore is thrown in your face right from the word go. What more could you want from a game! Replay value is solid, with many things to achieve, unlock and use on your return trips. Highly recommended!

Hardcore fans we really love this. God of War III comes with more action packed gameplay, ruthless assassinations and more of the ladies. The story is one of the best I have played through in a game.

I literally cannot recommend this game highly enough. It is absolutely flawless in all respects. Graphics, Game Play, Story, Controls, All are perfect.

GOW3 = EPIC! I've played both GOW and GOW2 and those were amazing, even GOW Chains of Olympus was great, but none of them compare to GOW3. The graphics were top notch 10/10. The sound was amazing 10/10. Gameplay was EPIC! 10/10. The only bad thing (and I mean minor) is the length of the game, it was a bit short clocking in at about 9–10 hours on your first play-through( which isn't really short, but for a game as good as this it would have been awesome if it was longer).

This was the game that made me get a PS3, and a good choice it was. GOW3 stood upto the hype and pulled through to become one of the greatest games on the PS3. PS3 owners, you need to get this game its EPIC!!!

Now I have not played the first two of these games but I'm going to now. GOW 3 is wicked, the graphics and game play is the best I've seen so far, but hey I've only just bought my PS3. The game is pretty graphic and for those of you who don't like blood, and gore ripping off limbs then maybe you should look at buying Lego Star Wars or something but for the rest then as Nike inc. say “JUST DO IT” go and buy it!!!!!

I had never played god of war until this chapter came out. So out I went and purchased GoW 1&2 to see what the deal was. Man was I hooked. The seamless gamplay and scenery was a visual masterpiece. If this is what the earlier versions are like, what is the latest offering like? Crap-handle, GoW 3 is genius. Never have I experienced a gaming experience like it. This is a must have for any gaming fan, no matter what genre you normally follow. Pick it up, play it and become…. the God of War!

I finished the game on Sunday 21st, all I can say is, Amazing! The graphics are mind-blowing and smooth as. The Blood & Gore factor is off the charts, lovely. Definitely the BEST game I've played on PS3, a MUST have.

Anyone that has played the demo will know that god of war 3 is something special. the full game has even better looking graphics and more combos to try and master.

The story is amazing and is a brilliant end to the trilogy, would recommend it to anyone with a ps3.

The combat is exciting and gory, just the way any gow fan likes it, and the puzzles are some of the best in the series.

If you're after a challenging game, with an awesome story, this is your ticket.

All the God of War games are fun to play, and this one was just as awesome.

Way better then previous games, just love this game, I highly reccomened buying this if you like other god of war games

One of the best game series around, kratos is badass!

I can say nothing other than Oh.. My.. God.. OF WAR!! This entire series start to finish is so incredibly amazingly awesomely just… insane. I love it, period. I love it so much in fact that I wanna put a ring on its finger worth at least a year of wages. The story is SOOO compelling, and so well done! flawless and ridiculously clever, and if you don't know a lot about Greek mythology, this series will leave you wanting to, LOTS. And none better than GOWIII, but I highly recommend starting with GOWI & II first, it's chronolo­gical…ly AWESOME! :D

This by far has to be one of my favourite games. The graphics are amazing, the story is awesome and you still get just as much blood and violence with a whole bunch of puzzels. By far the ultimate game.......

Granted the game is extremely violent but that is to be expect with a title such as God of War. I have enjoyed the God of war series GOW three is a fitting end to a engaging game filled Trilogy.

Loved everything about this game… Rather quick story if not played through on harder difficulty but defanitely a must for any guys collection

Having played many of the recent and top action games on the ps3, I was eager to play this game. The graphics and visuals on this game are the best in any game I have played. I don't normally say wow outload when I'm playing alone at home, but found myself repeating this phrase several times over whilst playing this game. The game play is also excellent, and can only be described as similar to a beat em up arcade game. Only your using weapons instead of your fists. There are quite a few puzzles involved in the game, but they are interesting, and are generally fairly easy to figure out, there's a few that are more difficult but nothing that will make you want to throw your controller down. The beat em up style game play is very smooth, and you can also grab your opponents and use them as a battering ram, and several other moves. All the moves are easy to do, meaning you don't need a good memory or much practice to pull them off and you can be doing huge combos in no time. You can either finish your opponents off using any of your various weapons you will be given during the game, or you can finish them off with a fatality like move by pressing certain key combinations that are displayed when your opponent is weakened. These finishing moves are violent and sick, which always brings a smile to my face and those of you who love blood and gore. This is a game not to be missed.

Still fighting for his revenge kratos is more powerful than ever and even more angry this time not only tearing enemy's limb from limb but using those limbs to kill other enemy's in this all powerful supposed ending to the god of war trilogy kratos goes out with a bang claiming the heads of those who have betrayed him.

This game is so freakin amazing, literally no words can descrube it!! The first level alone ascending Mount Olympus is so amazing to watch. I'm not kidding this game visually makes Avatar look like a 6 year olds crayon drawing. Nothing compares to this game!!!

The game is EPIC! It didnt get 10/10 reviews for no reason! Also Mighty Ape – Very impressed with the speedy service and easy to use web site! Ordered late yesterday and its here at the office the very next day! Was expecting it tomorrow!
