Explained in very simple, yet warm language that can generate great discussions and also instigate the tone of the type of values you want to instill in the children around you! I love this book! as a childrens counsellor I have begun using this book at least once with every child I work with. It is beautifully illustrated and explains the importance of giving and how when we give, we not only fill other peoples buckets but our own also. I also like how it includes in the narrative about bucket dippers -people who bully or try to take good feelings away from others. I have found that the children love this book, and often draw a picture of their own bucket and what they can do to help fill other peoples buckets up. Totally recommend this book.

Lovely book, but a little abstract in concept for preschoolers. Would be a lovely choice for early primary school aged children.
