"Possibly the best Dan Brown yet!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I've never read a Dan Brown novel I didn't like, but Inferno may well be the best of them all. Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is back, and is again following clues from an ancient work to solve another mystery. ‘Inferno’ features mostly the same mystery format and writing that made the 3 previous Langdon novels so popular, but it also feels a little more realistic. The tinfoil hat-like conspiracy vibes are much less prevalent, and the premise is completely valid, and in fact seems like something that could indeed happen. I can't really say much more without starting to ramble and give away plot points other than this: this is a fantastic novel, well written, well paced, with real, dynamic characters, well-ballanced realistic dialogue, and is incredibly hard to put down. It's my favourite Dan Brown novel yet.

Still reading but Dan Browns books are worth five stars for sure. There is always something that keeps you guessing at every turn of the page.

Description

Dan Brown’s new novel, Inferno, features renowned Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon and is set in the heart of Europe, where Langdon is drawn into a harrowing world centred around one of history’s most enduring and mysterious literary masterpieces.

As Dan Brown comments: “Although I studied Dante’s Inferno as a student, it wasn’t untilrecently, while researching in Florence, that I came to appreciate the enduring influence of Dante’s work on the modern world. With this new novel, I am excited to take readers on a journey deep into this mysterious realm…a landscape of codes, symbols, and more than a few secret passageways.”
