Great to see the girls helping the wild horses, the transformation was amazing.
I had recorded this series from the T.V. But decided to buy the DVD for ease of playing back. I was unable to obtain it from my usual source but located it on Mighty Ape. I got 2 copies so I could send one to my friend in England. Excellent DVD documentary spanning 5–6 months of hard work by the producers into a world where few people travel, on our own doorstep – the Kaimanawa Ranges.
Wife really enjoyed it.
Meet the Wilsons; Amanda, Kelly and Vicki – three Kiwi sisters from Northland, who live and breathe horses. They ride them, train them and show them – domesticated or wild.
In this new local or reality series Keeping Up With the Kaimanawas, we follow these fearless and inspiring women, as they go on their wildest ride yet – saving New Zealand’s Kaimanawa horses from slaughter and training them for their first ever national Wild Stallion Challenges.
There will be casualties on both sides – savage bites, aggressive charging, dramatic falls, castration and life and death decision with no guarantee of success. But the name of the game is to have their horses ready in time for the challenge and to prove everyone that these horses are worth saving.
Muster up and get in the saddle, this is going to be one wild ride
