I think I prefer the 10 year anniversary version even if it is only DVD and stereo. Picture quality of this blu-ray is great of course but somehow the songs don't have the same emotion for me.
The summary says it all. Les Mis is the best musical of my lifetime and, having seen it in London, New York and here in NZ, this production is by far the best ever. And, when one thinks its all over, the ending, comprising the original cast al all the Jean Val Jeans, is tears in the eyes stuff. Just magic!!
I saw the first stage production in London in it's first year, seen the show three three times in NZ, have the 10 year anniversary, and now the 25 year one so I think I am a fan and all I can say is this is still fantastic every time I see it. Well done Mighty ape for bringing this epic to us.
Have been to see the show several times and really loved it, so had to have the dvd for myself!!
