Description

Updated edition of this seminal rugby publication first released in 1978. Through seven previous editions, MEN IN BLACK has become New Zealand's biggest selling rugby book. Last published in 2005, the book is the definitive record of All Black test rugby since 1903, when New Zealand played its first full-scale international against Australia in Sydney. Compiled by three of New Zealand's most respected rugby historians and writers, the new edition of MEN IN BLACK will be one of the largest books ever published in New Zealand, with the addition of approximately 180 pages bringing the total extent to more than 1100 pages. Two pages will again be devoted to each international with photographs illustrating each test match. Additionally, there will be 64 pages of colour photographs included in the new edition.

Author Biography

Although Nev McMillan and Rod Chester have both passed away, their legacy to New Zealand sports writing lives on in Men in Black and The Encyclopedia of New Zealand Rugby. Both men were for many years regarded as the premier rugby historians/statisticians in this country. Ron Palenski, long regarded as one of New Zealand's best and most successful sports writers, provides the 'fresh' copy for the new Men in Black.
