Though I enjoyed their Debut Album I must admit this new album crushes it.
Better sound mixing, more musical variety and the other two girls in the group sing a lot more.

Babymetal's first album is one of the few perfect things that exist in this world. I find this second record to be a little bland in comparison, with their image moving closer towards “real” heavy metal culture and further from idol. The progressive sound in some of these songs don't work for me, in particular “Tales of the Destinies”. I feel like this album is more likely to please metalheads than those who only love the cutesy J-pop side of this idol/metal unit.
Babymetal is a mix between J-pop and heavy metal. For some reason the slower pace of pop fits in really well with the triple speed of the Kima band who accompany the trio of Su-metal, Yui-metal and Moa-metal. Su-metal solo performances are a pure delight as a power ballad. When joined on stage with her backup crew they synchronize an energetic dance routine that would make for a super cardio workout. Su is the Queen of Metal having great stage prescence over the audience and fans in Live shows. Metal is usually dark and gloomy. Babymetal has made it fun and joyous. The backstory is worth reading up on if you are new to this. The CD is awesome. Good quality. The music is phenomenol.
BABYMETAL, 2015’s breakout all-girl-fronted Japanese heavy metal/teen–pop hybrid group will release METAL RESISTANCE on April 1st.
2015 was a breakout year for BABYMETAL, the young trio of 17-year old
SU-METAL (Vocal, Dance) and 16-year olds YUIMETAL (Scream, Dance) and MOAMETAL
(Scream, Dance), backed a four-piece band packing a heavy metal arsenal: they
re-released their 2014 chart topping self-titled album, were the most
sought-after band at Rock On The Range (U.S’s premiere rock festival) and
completed sold-out dates at Chicago’s House of Blues and New York
City’s Hammerstein Ballroom (part of their 2015 world tour); they’ve won
several awards including the “Breakthrough Act” award at the 2015 Metal
Hammer Golden Gods, the “Spirit of Independence” award at the
2015 Relentless Kerrang! Awards, MTV Europe’s “Wildcard Best
Japanese Act” and several LOUDWIRE Awards. In addition, they were awarded the
“Discovery Prize” at GQ Japan’s “Men of the Year 2015" Awards and the
“Women of the Year” Award at VOGUE Japan’s “Women of the Year 2015”
Awards. In July, 2015, they became the first Japanese artist to appear on the
cover of METAL HAMMER.
